To further promote and support local students in their pursuit of a college education, Aspire Arizona Foundation will offer three $5000 scholarships this year to both Payson High School and home-schooled seniors who have taken dual-credit courses. The funds may be used for tuition, books, room and board, and mandatory course fees, and will be paid directly to the institution of choice by Aspire Arizona Foundation,
Eligibility to apply is based on the student having earned 12 or more general education credits (not Navit) through the Aspire/Gila Community College Dual-Credit Program with a GPA of 3.0 (Aspire-sponsored General Education courses only, not overall GPA). In addition, the applicant must have successfully completed all dual-credit courses taken and earned an “A” in at least one of them.
Deadline for Scholarship Application is March
Eligible applicants are mailed an application directly to their home by Aspire Arizona Foundation in February. Scholarship award selection occurs in March with the recipients being announced at the AAF Scholars Breakfast in April.

2025 Scholarship Recipients
The 2024 Aspire Arizona Foundation Scholarship recipients were: Gage Freischmidt, Caitlyn Hall, Grace Hopson, and Lizbeth Reyes Dominguez. Gage, Caitlyn, and Lizbeth are attending Northern Arizona University to study Civil Engineering, Elementary Education, and Dental Hygiene, respectively Grace is attending Grand Canyon University to become a labor a delivery nurse.
