Aspire Arizona Foundation proudly distributes our yearly newsletter to our generous donors and Aspire Scholars. Newsletters highlight Aspire Scholar and Alumni stories, fundraising summary, the Aspire Breakfast, Annual Golf Tournament, and Aspire students in action.
2025 Aspire Newsletter
In the Fall 2024 semester, 144 students – a record – participated in the dual enrollment program that our donors have made possible. And as we look forward to next Fall we anticipate a similar number of students. To date, AAF donors have allowed us to pay for 9,234 college credits for local Payson students. And it is very possible that a year from now our donors can take pride in helping local students achieve 10,000 college credits. What a legacy and the Aspire Board thanks each and every one of our donors.
The 2025 Aspire Newsletter highlights Aspire Scholar Lizabeth Reyes Dominguez, Aspire Alumni Elly Schruer, PHS Instructor Alison Nordquist, and our 4 Aspire Scholarship Recipients.
2024 Aspire Newsletter
2023-2024 was one of our best! First, we’ve seen our enrolled student numbers climb back above the 100 mark, where we were before COVID-19. Second, with the assistance of a matching grant from a long-time donor, we had our best fundraising year to date. Importantly, Payson High School was named an A+ School of Excellence by the Arizona Educational Foundation.
The 2024 Aspire Newsletter highlights Aspire Scholar Cody Cliburn, Aspire Alumni Crystal Kubby, PHS Instructional Coach Brian Young, and Aspire Scholarship Recipient Raul Sias Peralta. Special notes include the Aspire Scholars at STEM workshop, Aspire Arizona Foundation History, and a parent’s thank you as her student graduates from GCU.
2023 Aspire Newsletter
2022-2023 was a landmark year as Aspire Arizona Foundation awarded three $5,000 scholarships to Aspire scholars for the first time in history.
The 2023 Aspire Newsletter highlights Aspire Scholar John Goldman, Aspire Alumni Trace Wallace ASU Ph.D. candidate, and Dual Credit Teacher Meena Rustagi.
Also included: The impact of Aspire on home school with words from Ben Otte, Aspire Scholar, and his family. Also featured is Aspire Alumni, Randall Adcock, who was the keynote speaker at the Aspire Awards Breakfast. He shares about his experience with Dual Credit and how it has helped him pursue his PhD in Chemical Engineering.
